Castile soaps
Hello there my friends today I wanted to give you some info on one of our latest product additions hope you like like.
What is Castile Soap?
Centuries ago in the Castile region of Spain an all-vegetable-based soap was made. Plentiful, local olive-oil inspired the recipe and set it apart as a soap not made from animal-fat (tallow). With great versatility and natural cleaning power, this tried-and-true formula has become commonly known as Castile Soap.
What is the difference between the bar and liquid?
J.R. Watkins Castile Liquid and Bar Soaps are both made with nourishing coconut and olive oils. Different basic salts are heated with the oils to create a fluid, liquid soap verses a hard, bar soap.
Why is J.R. Watkins making Castile Soap?
Soap making is tradition at J.R. Watkins. Since the turn of the century, we have been offering pure soaps. We’re excited to re-introduce the tradition of vegetable-oil based soaps — a natural product that really works. Free from dyes and harsh chemicals, this simple formula remains pure and safe.
